At the 2024 AGM, our voting members adopted some new membership categories, one of which is GIN Alumni.

The Alumni category is aimed at those long-term members, contributors and supporters of GIN, who have recently retired from full time employment in the guideline field but want to retain their ties to their professional network and remain active within GIN, without the barrier of having to pay the full individual member fee. We view this category as a real win-win, as it allows the network to retain the deep knowledge and expertise that these members have, not only about GIN, but in guideline science, with many being leaders in the profession. The membership fee will be £75, reflective of the fact that they are no longer employed by a guideline organisation.

We have run a pilot of this category since April and are delighted to have welcomed the first cohort of GIN Alumni:
Paul Chrisp (PhD)
Dr Robert Cook
Professor Jos Kleijnen
Professor Gillian Leng
Dr Maurizio Angelo Leone
Sandra Zelman Lewis (PhD)
Susan Phillips (PhD)

Any member who is planning to retire in the coming months and is keen to remain part of the network should contact our membership manager, Joanne Georgeson, to discuss the transition to GIN Alumni.
