The INGUIDE pre‑conference training has become a defining part of the GIN conference experience for many participants as an opportunity to engage in in‑depth, in‑person INGUIDE courses delivered by senior experts from across the global guideline community.
Ahead of GIN2025, 58 participants from around the world came together to attend INGUIDE courses. Representing diverse disciplines, organisations, and health systems, participants shared a common goal: to strengthen their skills in guideline development while learning alongside peers facing similar challenges in different contexts.
Previous participants consistently highlight the unique value of in‑person training. Being in the same room allows for richer discussion, deeper engagement with complex methodological concepts, and immediate, meaningful feedback. Participants frequently note that learning face‑to‑face enables a level of interaction and reflection that is difficult to replicate online.
Another key strength is the opportunity to learn directly from senior INGUIDE instructors. Beyond the structured course content, instructors share real‑world experience from years of guideline development, offering practical insights, lessons learned, and honest reflections on navigating challenges. Participants often describe these exchanges as one of the most impactful aspects of the training.
Equally important is the networking and peer learning that naturally emerges. Participants value hearing how guideline work is approached in different countries and settings, and many report that conversations during breaks are just as valuable as the formal sessions. These interactions often lead to lasting professional connections, ongoing knowledge exchange, and even new global collaboration opportunities long after the conference has ended.
