Dr. Sun got her Bachelor Degree in Hebei Medical University in 2003 and PhD degree in Peking University in 2009. She went to Harvard University as a visiting scholar during 2016-2017 funded by CSC. Her research interests are in the field of pharmacoepidemiology, evidence-based medicine and theoretical methods and applications of real-world data research, in particular the use of new methodology to conduct the integration of evidence from different sources. She has published widely in the areas of respiratory, cardiovascular and endocrine epidemiology, and evaluation of drug effectiveness after marketing. In 2023 and 2024, she was consecutively included in the list of the world’s top 2% of scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier. Dr. Sun has led 4 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 research sub-project from National Key R&D Program of China, more than 20 research projects funded by national ministries, and participated more than 20 studies in chronic disease epidemiology, pharmaco-epidemiology and evidence-based medicine.
