Yasser Sami H. Abdel Dayem Amer is a pediatrician, guideline methodologist, and researcher in Pediatrics, Quality Management, Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) Steering Committee, King Saud University Medical City, and Evidence-Based Health Care and Knowledge Translation Research Chair, King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Yasser worked with teams for the last 12 years adapting, implementing, digitizing, and appraising CPGs by guiding or contributing to more than 100 local, national, and international CPG projects, WHO collaborations for guidelines, CPG capacity-building initiatives, peer-reviewed articles, and postgraduate theses.

Yasser has been a member of GIN and its working groups since 2009 and was elected as Chair of its Adaptation Working Group in 2021. He is a founding member and former coordinator and GIN contact, Evidence-Based CPGs Center, Alexandria University, Egypt.

Yasser is a guideline methodology advisor for Egyptian Pediatric CPGs Committee, Saudi ADHD Society, Saudi Pediatric Neurology Society, Saudi Neonatology Society, and Saudi Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society.

Yasser is an International Practitioner Member, UK Faculty of Public Health, Cochrane, RIGHT Working Group, and currently a PhD(c) at Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo, Brazil.

Yasser’s research interests include EBHC, KT, CPGs, guideline methodology, pediatrics, quality and safety, clinical informatics, and implementation and improvement research.
