Dr Pwee Keng Ho obtained his MBBS in 1991 and his MMed (Public Health) in 1999 from the National University of Singapore. From 1995 to 2016, he worked in public health and health administration at the Ministry of Health, Singapore. In 2002, he was a visiting scholar at the then-Canadian Coordinating Office for Health Technology Assessment (CCOHTA) and has worked in health technology assessment since then. In December 2014, he began working in the Health Services Research team, conducting hospital-based HTA for the Changi General Hospital.

Dr Pwee is a former board member of HTAsiaLink, Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) and the Guidelines International Network (G-I-N). He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care (IJTAHC) and an associate editor (specialty editor for Public Health) of the Singapore Medical Journal (SMJ).

During his time at the MOH, Dr Pwee’s work included administering the Ministry’s national clinical practice guidelines programme, involving secretariat and methodological support for various guideline development groups. In 2024, he was appointed Chair of the Practice Guidelines Committee of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (AMS), overseeing the clinical practice guidelines funding programme for the AMS.
