Prof. Myeong Soo Lee is a principal researcher at the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine in South Korea. He obtained his PhD in 2004 from the Professional Graduate School of Oriental Medicine at Wonkwang University, Korea. He has conducted studies on evidence-based medicine for complementary medicine at the Peninsula Medical School, University of Exeter. He has served as an adjunct professor at London South Bank University (2016-2019), UK, and at four Chinese universities (Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Tianjin University of TCM, Lanzhou University, and the Affiliated TCM Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University). He is also a Research Affiliate at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School.

He is a founding member and former board member of the International Society of Complementary Medicine Research. Prof. Lee is actively involved with the RIGHT group and currently serves as the Chair of the Guideline International Network (G-I-N) Asia. He is responsible for the Cochrane Complementary Medicine Korea.

Prof. Lee is an Associate Editor or editorial board member for over 30 SCI journals, including Integrative Medicine Research. He has authored or co-authored more than 600 SCIE journal articles, including original papers, reviews, and book chapters related to CAM and integrative medicine. He is recognized as one of the top three CAM researchers worldwide in terms of publication volume and is among the top 2% of scientists globally, according to the Stanford University Citation Ranking (Stanford University Citation Ranking).
