In the run up to International Women’s Day 2026, GIN’s Chief Executive Officer, Daniela Carl was invited, alongside female senior leaders from Cochrane, JBI and Instituto Veredas, to share reflections in answer to the question:

What’s the most valuable thing you can give as a leader?

Their responses were published as an article on the Cochrane website on 8 March 2026.

To mark the 115th celebration of International Women’s Day, we also asked GIN’s female Board members – Roberta JamesMiranda LangendamIna Kopp, and Nain Yuh – to share insights about their experiences as female leaders in their fields.

Through personal stories from their careers, they shared honest reflections on the challenges they’ve faced, the lessons they’ve learned, and what empowers women to step forward and lead.

Their insights are a powerful reminder that representation, support, and determination all play a role in opening doors for the next generation of women leaders.

We are incredibly proud to have their expertise on the GIN Board, and grateful for the leadership, perspective, and inspiration they bring to our work every day.
