Ms. Tierney has more than 20 years of leadership experience in performance measurement. As a Senior Scientist at the American College of Physicians (ACP), she leads the evaluation of measures based on ACP-defined criteria, provides strategic direction on ACP performance measurement initiatives, and advances measurement science.
Previously, as Senior Director for the PCPI® Foundation (formerly the American Medical Association’s Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement), she provided methodological expertise and oversaw staff managing measure development, specification, and testing projects. She was directly involved in the development of many measures across a wide variety of conditions.
Ms. Tierney has authored publications on performance measurement and participates in numerous national performance measurement committees.
Ms. Tierney was awarded an FGIN in 2025.
