Dr Melissa J. Armstrong, MD, MSc. is Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She is a clinician-researcher whose current research focuses on the lived experiences of Lewy body dementia, including patient and caregiver preferences for care and research and end-of-life experiences.

She previously served as an evidence-based medicine methodology consultant for the American Academy of Neurology clinical practice guideline program and had funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to investigate the impact of engaging patients, caregivers, and advocates in clinical practice guideline development.
