Francisca Verdugo

Francisca Verdugo is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences and the Center for Integrative Global Oral Health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Previously, she served as Chief Research Innovation Officer at the Epistemonikos Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to making evidence-based health information more accessible to decision-makers.

Her work focuses on developing innovative technologies and methodologies to improve evidence synthesis and enhance the methodological standards of evidence-informed guidelines in oral health. She has extensive experience in health evidence identification and synthesis, authoring multiple systematic reviews and serving as a methodological advisor for various clinical practice guidelines across Latin America.

Currently, she is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Research Methodology and Public Health at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
