Dr. Roopa Hariprasad is a Senior Scientist at the Centre for Evidence-Based Guidelines, Department of Health Research, where she leads and coordinates national guideline development aligned with WHO methodology. At DHR she oversees guideline production using systematic reviews and the GRADE approach to assess evidence quality and formulate transparent, scientifically rigorous recommendations.
She played a key role in the Lung Cancer Treatment and Palliation Guidelines, which comprise 15 evidence-based recommendations and were released by the Union Minister of Health on the eve of World Cancer Day. She continues to contribute to guideline development on the empirical use of antibiotics across clinical conditions.
In addition to guideline work, Dr. Hariprasad organises capacity-building programmes and training workshops to strengthen guideline development skills across India.
