Prof. Soo Young Kim is a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Hallym University College of Medicine, South Korea. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Korea University and completed his undergraduate medical education at Seoul National University College of Medicine. His professional experience focuses on evidence-based medicine, clinical practice guidelines, publication ethics, and medical publishing.
He has served as Director of Family Medicine and Chairman of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital. He is currently Vice President of the Korean Academy of Evidence-Based Medicine.
He has contributed to the development of national clinical practice guidelines as an expert member of the Korean Academy of Medical Sciences. In the field of medical publishing, he has held senior leadership roles, including Vice Chairman of the Korean Association of Medical Journal Editors (KAMJE) and Chair of the Education and Training Committee of the Korean Council of Science Editors (KCSE).
