Xufei Luo, MPH, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Hong Kong Baptist University. His research focuses on evidence-based medicine, clinical practice guideline methodology, reporting standards, and the integration of large language models into medical research.
Dr. Luo is a member of the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Guideline Implementation and Knowledg Translation, Cochrane China, the PREPARE (Practice guideline REgistration for transPAREncy) Working Group, STAR (Scientificity, Transparency, and Applicability Rankings) Working Group and the RIGHT (Reporting Items for Practice Guidelines in Healthcare) Working Group. He has contributed to the development, methodological evaluation, and reporting improvement of more than 50 clinical practice guidelines across diverse medical specialties.
Dr. Luo is a core member of the GAMER Statement Working Group and led the development of the GAMER Statement, the reporting guideline for the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in medical research. He also played a key role in the development of the RIGHT-P Statement, which strengthens transparency in guideline protocol reporting.
He currently serves as associate editor of Systematic Reviews and Journal of Migration and Health, and as an Editorial Board Member of BMC Public Health.
