Dr. Alang Ernest Wung holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Dschang. He is an evidence synthesis specialist, and development practitioner with extensive experience in inclusive development, health systems strengthening, education, and youth employment across Africa. He currently serves as a Senior Researcher and Personal Assistant to the Team Lead at eBASE Africa, where he contributes to the design, implementation, and evaluation of Evidence-Informed programs focused on health, education, livelihoods, disability inclusion, and social impact.

Dr. Wung’s work bridges research, policy, and practice, with strong expertise in mixed-methods research, systematic reviews, program evaluation, and knowledge translation. His research interests span economic inclusion of youth with disabilities, guideline implementation, digital health communication, and sustainable development in low- and middle-income contexts.

He has collaborated with international partners and academic institutions to generate actionable evidence supporting inclusive policies and programs in the Global South. In April 2025, he served as Chair of the Review Committee for the Education Indaba Conference organized by eBASE Africa and a referrer in several International Journals where he is contributing to strengthening scholarly quality and knowledge exchange.

He is an active member of the Guidelines International Network through the GIN Africa Community, contributing to global discussions on evidence-based healthcare and guideline development in Africa.

His growing scholarly portfolio includes peer-reviewed publications on pandemic preparedness, technological innovation, and development economics, including a recent publication in the GIN Journal on reenvisioning Clinical Guideline Ecosystem in Africa.

Dr. Wung is committed to advancing locally grounded research that amplifies African perspectives in global knowledge production while promoting equitable participation, inclusive employment systems, and evidence-driven decision-making for sustainable development.
