Dr. Izzuna Ghazali is a Consultant Public Health Medicine with extensive experience in health policy, health technology assessment (HTA), and health service development within the Ministry of Health Malaysia. She previously served as the Head of the Malaysian Health Technology Assessment Section (MaHTAS), where she led national efforts in evaluating health technologies and strengthening evidence-informed decision-making to support healthcare policy and resource allocation.
Dr. Izzuna has been actively involved in the development of numerous Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) in Malaysia, contributing to the translation of scientific evidence into practical recommendations that improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of healthcare services nationwide.
She currently plays a key role in medical services development and service delivery, focusing on strengthening healthcare systems, improving service accessibility and efficiency, and supporting strategic initiatives to enhance patient outcomes within the Malaysian public healthcare system. Her work continues to bridge research, policy, and clinical practice to ensure sustainable and high-value healthcare for the population.
