The Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic (IHIS CR) is an organisational unit of the state and has been established by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.
IHIS CR is the recipient of support for the implementation of the project: "Quality assurance frameworks for health services and patient safety based on systematic support for data-driven and informed decision-making", registration number CZ.03.02.02/00/22_046/0002016. The goal of this project is the improvement of safety, quality and equity of access to health services in the CR. It will be achieved through the development of Rapid Recommendations and quality control of health care by means of quality indicators set and monitored in the project.
Fulfillment of the project's goals is carried out under the auspices of National Institute for Health Quality and Excellence (NIKEZ). NIKEZ is an organizational unit, which is a joint workplace of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and IHIS CR. The main guiding principles of NIKEZ are: The principle of evidence-based evaluation; The principle of objective data-based decision making and benchmarking; The principle of clinically-based evidence; The principle of person centredness and Cost-effectiveness evaluation principle.
