Kelvin Hill is Executive Director, Stroke Programs, Research and Innovation at Australia’s Stroke Foundation, where he oversees the organisation’s national programs, research portfolio, and evidence-based improvement initiatives. A physiotherapist by background with postgraduate qualifications in business and management, Kelvin has spent more than two decades working to improve stroke care through the implementation of evidence-based practice.
Since joining the Stroke Foundation in 2003, Kelvin has led the development and implementation of national stroke guidelines. He played a key leadership role in the transition of the Australian Stroke Guidelines to the Australian and New Zealand Stroke Living Guidelines in 2018, one of the earliest large-scale living guideline programs internationally.
Kelvin has been an active member of the Guidelines International Network (GIN) community for many years, contributing to working groups and leadership initiatives. He previously served as Chair of the Australian and New Zealand GIN Regional Community and continues to serve on its steering committee. In Australia, he was Chair of the Methods Working Group for the Australian Living Evidence Collaboration and has been a strong advocate for advancing living evidence and guideline innovation.
His current interests include living guideline methodology, implementation science, evidence translation, and strengthening the impact of clinical guidelines on health service improvement and patient outcomes nationally and internationally.
