GIN2026 Conference and Travel Grant Winners

Following a careful review of all applications for a GIN2026 Conference and Travel Grant Award, the GIN Board have selected Balendra Pratap Singh (King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, India), Lili Zeidan (American University of Beirut, Lebanon), and Alvin Lontum (eBASE, Cameroon, Africa) as this year’s recipients.

The GIN Conference & Travel Grant has existed since 2011, in recognition that financial barriers may prevent some members from participating in our annual conference. The grant covers key expenses such as travel, accommodation, and registration fees, allowing recipients to fully engage with the conference programme, network with peers, and share insights from their local contexts. Awardees for 2026 hail from a range of countries and disciplines, bringing fresh perspectives and valuable contributions to the discussions.

This GIN Conference and Travel Grant is part of our ongoing work to promote global equity and accessibility. Our aim is to make the Conference as accessible as possible while actively supporting diversity and inclusiveness, by providing funding to help members cover conference attendance related costs so they can attend the annual conference, present their work, network, and take part in this key event in the guideline community. As a small charity, our funds are limited and may vary from year to year. However, we are committed to offering meaningful support to eligible members so they can benefit fully from the conference experience.
