Welcome to our new 'virtual space'

Below is some information on how we will make this space work for us, most of the communication will be through the threads or topics listed in the discussion boards. The discussion boards have the capacity to upload documents which will enable us to have a chronological history of activity.

The discussion boards will include:

  • General discussion, updates of activities and invitation to participate in specific activities

These are public discussion boards and do not not require a login but it would be helpful to the rest of the community to know who posted the comment, please consider putting your name in the body of the message.

  • Specific activities e.g.  'Adapting recommendations from existing guidelines for the Emergency Care setting'

These discussion groups will be private and require a login to enable those interested in participating to work together through the development phase prior to public release of the final outcome.

An invitation to Join a working group of the community - 'Adapting guideline recommendations'

Work has begun with the steering group on this activity exploring different frameworks using guidelines recommendations related to:

- the management of cardiac related chest pain, and

- an evidence based position paper on the H1N1 management for health workers in emergency departments.

Note, the scope of this work does not include the development of guidelines but focuss on localising or adapting recommendations.

If you are interested please email Sue Huckson for a login to this discussion board.
