Marge Reinap is leading the work on Evidence for Policy Development under the Division of Country Health Policies and Programs at WHO Regional Office for Europe since 2020. Her work area covers providing support to WHO Member States in strengthening, monitoring and evaluating national capacity to identify, translate and use evidence in policy and practice as well as promoting, advocating for and supporting the establishment and strengthening of mechanisms and institutions for using evidence to support decision-making.
She joined WHO in 2012 as the Head of WHO Country Office in Estonia responsible for the WHO operations in the country. Where she was supporting Estonia also in its work on strengthening and optimizing guideline development and evidence-informed policymaking. Her professional career started in the Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia as an analyst and later as a Head of Health Policy. Her background is Public Sector Economics and Global Health Policy. She has co-authored several publications and peer-reviewed articles related to health policy, guideline development and evidence-informed policymaking.
