Relaunch of website and December enGINe

On behalf of the new Marketing and Communications committee, I am pleased to bring you the December edition of enGINe ahead of schedule.

We have worked hard to bring this to you today, in order to coincide with the relaunch of our website at  Thank you to those of you who gave feedback on the plans for the website, while in San Francisco.  You will find the newsletter in a dynamic new format on the home page.

Our website has been modernised in both design and structure, ensuring that it will now display properly on whichever device you access it from.  We have also included several new features to enhance engagement and collaboration, as well as providing easy ways to give us direct feedback.  In this edition we have highlighted opportunities on the project board (membership tab) to get involved with the guideline library review, as well as joining the newly established multimorbidity working group.

We have also created a blog, which will cover a different topic each month and be moderated by an expert in the area.  The purpose of this new feature is to enable and encourage enhanced communication with our members.  This month the feature has been written by Jorma Komulainen, the chair of the Marketing and Communications committee and his chosen subject is the G-I-N library review.  You can use the discussion board to give feedback and engage in debate with other members.

Finally, I would like to highlight that you can now access the contact details of individual members through the “Members around the world” search function.  Previously, only organisational details were accessible.

We will seek to continuously improve the website, so please contact me with your ideas and suggestions.  Our current planned areas for review are the library, the membership application form and the dashboard.

In the meantime, we wish each and every one of you the very best of Seasons Greetings and a happy and successful 2014.
