GRADE Evidence to Decision Frameworks: Experience and use for Guideline Adaptation and Adoption

  • Objective and anticipated learning outcome:

    To demonstrate the utility of the GRADE evidence to decision frameworks (EtD) for structuring the production of transparent and trustworthy recommendations.

    At the end of this interactive webinar participants will be familiar with the updated criteria of the GRADE approach that influence the direction and strength of a recommendation and decision. Examples will be used to demonstrate the use of EtDs for the adoption, adaptation and de novo development of recommendations as part of the GRADE Adolopment process. The. EtD frameworks are a result of GRADE's recently completed DECIDE project.

New developments in GRADE

  • Objective and anticipated learning outcome:

    To provide updates on recent developments and ongoing projects of the GRADE approach to grading evidence and recommendations.

    The GRADE working group has initiated a number of new initiatives organised in project groups. This presentation will provide an overview of the outcomes and ongoing challenges resulting from selected groups, including issues around applying GRADE in the context of the use of diagnostic and other tests, non-randomised studies, animal studies, environmental health and the use of GRADE's web application GRADEpro to develop, implement, share and adapt trustworthy guidelines.
