Registration for the Guidelines International Network (G-I-N) Conference, hosted by McMaster University, is now open and can be completed via the online registration page by clicking on the button below.

Registration fees are quoted in Canadian dollars and are exclusive of 15% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).  To qualify for an organisational member discount, you must be a full paid-up member of G-I-N as at 30 April 2020. To qualify for an individual member discount, you must be a full paid-up member of G-I-N as at 30 April 2020.

To be eligible for the student rates, you must be a current student enrolled on a full-time basis. Evidence of your current enrollment status must be uploaded at time of registration (copy of student ID, employee identification).

Letter of Invitation for Visas

An official Letter of Invitation to obtain a visa and authorization to attend the G-I-N 2020 Conference will be issued ONLY after a completed registration form and full payment have been received.


Registration Cancellation Policy – Deadline: 27 August 2020

Cancellations must be notified in writing (email is sufficient) to the Conference Secretariat ( Cancellations made by 27 August 2020 will result in a full refund less CAD$150 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, you may transfer your registration to another person by 27 August 2020 without incurring a penalty. Refunds for cancellations received after 27 August 2020 will only be made in exceptional circumstances. Failure to obtain the appropriate visa to travel to Canada does not justify a refund. It is recommended that travel insurance be secured personally upon registering. The Conference Secretariat must be advised in writing in order to authorize alterations or transfers to the original registration.


All best endeavours will be made to present the program as printed on this website. The Conference and its agents reserve the right to alter without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating to the meeting, for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The Organising Committee and the Conference Organisers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Organising Committee and the Conference Organisers do not accept responsibility for loss of monies caused by delays. Participants are advised to take out personal travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions. The Conference does not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings or theft or damage to belongings.

In the unlikely event that the conference is cancelled, travel and accommodation costs will not be refunded.
